M-DOG hosts GoFundMe fundraiser for Dog Park Fence Replacement Project M-DOG needs your help to secure funds to replace the deteriorating fence at Strawberry Fields for Rover Off-Leash Park. The money will go directly to the park for costs associated with the fence replacement project only. The city of Marysville, in partnership with M-DOG, was recently awarded a $5,000 matching grant through the Snohomish County Small Capital Projects Partnership fund.
Donations we are seeking through this campaign demonstrate our own community and park users' commitment to replace the fence with a more resilient, longer-lasting fence. Names of those who donate a minimum of $30 will be recognized by name on a plaque or other tribute to be installed at the park. Donations are tax-deductible.

A potential second off-leash dog park in Marysville could offer more space for pooches to roam
The City of Marysville in July unveiled a conceptual plan for Mother Nature's Window Park at 100th Street and 55th Avenue that could one day strike a balance of preserving a beautiful forested swath for passive uses while incorporating recreational amenities, including a potential 3.6-acre dog park. The City is contracting with J.A. Brennan Associates, a Seattle-based landscape architect and planning firm that is working with the City on master planning for the proposed park. [read more]
Got a pooch without a prayer? Join us for dog, animal blessings on Sunday, Oct. 2 at dog park
Got a pooch without a prayer? Marysville Dog Owners Group and St. Philips Episcopal Church are hosting a Blessing of the Dogs from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2 at Strawberry Fields for Rover Off-Leash Park.Pastor Allen Hicks will preside over the traditional dog blessings in the park located at 6100 152nd St. NE. This is the second year for the event that has its roots in the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals and the natural environment. “Dogs and other pets are our companions, and they don’t ask for much for the unconditional love they bring us,” says Leslie Buell, M-DOG President. “This casual event celebrates the gift of dogs in our lives, wishes them good health, and remembers our pets that have passed on.”
In additional to blessings, M-DOG members will be on hand for an accompanying pet balloon memorial. Pet owners at no charge will be given a white balloon and invited to write the name of their pet and a messages on them for pets they have lost, with the balloons then attached to park fencing. The event is free. For more details, contact M-DOG President Leslie Buell at (425) 268-5285, email email@example.com, or visit us on the web at http://m-dog.org.

Thanks, community for helping support M-DOG Pet Food Drive for food bank
Thank you, and a big "woof" to everyone who donated this holiday season to the M-DOG Pet Food Drive to support the Marysville Community Food Bank and the families served. In all, we collected about 280 lbs. of bagged and canned food for dogs - and cats, too! Special thanks to donation site partners Haggen Food & Pharmacy, Marysville Co-Op Supply, Grocery Outlet and Macpherson's Realty.
Strawberry Fields for Rover now has an agility course to bring out the competitor in your dog! Still some minor additions, but try it out! The course includes plank jumps, adjustible tire and hydrant jumps and weave poles incorporated into the existing T-bone tunnel pipe and log cross. Funds raised at Poochapalooza Outdoor Dog Event.
M-DOG recently installed a new park bench at Strawberry Fields for Rover thanks to a gracious donation from Marysville's Roy Robinson Chevrolet * Subaru * RV. Huge thanks to Roy Robinson!
